![]() They sent along a raft of spicy mustard, duck sauce, and soy sauce….all in those little plastic packets….grip em’ and rip ‘em. Wife gave the moo goo five stars, the spring roll four, and the fried rice four. In a decent restaurant setting, presented properly, with one of those cutesy drinks alongside…Bombay this, Singapore that, Island the next thing, it would be a four. …I’d give the Sampler…the Sampler, takeout style that is…three stars. She quite enjoyed the vegetable fried rice….scarfed almost all of it. Her only complaint was she should’ve gotten two…they’re small. ![]() She thought the spring roll was very good. She loved the moo goo.let me have a bite….good but bland…it’s moo goo. ![]() The wife’s stuff came in decent packaging…as if you ordered takeout and they actually wanted it to look good. The Crab Rangoon was the star…the crab paste was delicious, though there was not much of it in each wrapper. The chicken skewers were just plain old good…tender, good marinade, tasty. The beef strips were nicely marinated and overcooked. The egg rolls were crispy, pretty well stuffed, and mediocre. Instead everything was thrown together in one of those containers they give you to bring home the salad you couldn’t finish at lunch. The Sampler could have used the standard pupu presentation…the goodies artfully arranged around a central sterno-type flame in a lazy susan or some such. I ordered the Kiyoshi Sampler (hey, I was hungry), wife went moo goo gai pan, vegetable fried rice, and a spring roll. They’ll take an online order and you can add the time you’d like to pick it up so it is pretty convenient. The wife had a hankering (and no one hankers like the wife) for Asian fare so we looked around, and Kiyoshi is not far from where we. ![]() Marquez wrote the famous Love in the Time of Cholera.
